Chers amis et membres de la grande famille d’ÉCLIPSE,
C’est le cœur gros que nous annonçons à nouveau l’annulation du festival Éclipse 2021, qui est reporté officiellement au 21 au 25 juillet 2022. Nous devons hélas nous rendre à l’évidence : le festival ne pourra pas avoir lieu dans le contexte actuel. Cette situation est complètement hors de notre contrôle. Tous les billets seront donc réutilisables pour l’édition 2022.
Reporter le festival dans tout près de 15 mois nous permettra d’en assurer la continuité et la pérennité. L’annulation pure et simple de l’édition 2021 toucherait à la survie du festival. Nous décidons de garder une attitude positive, car nous croyons de tout cœur que tout est encore possible et que l’édition 2022 sera la bonne ! Faisons preuve de résilience et visualisons des jours meilleurs !
Une fois de plus, nous en sommes pleinement conscients, nous vous demandons ici, aujourd’hui votre entière collaboration, puisqu’aucun remboursement ne sera effectué cette année. Ceux qui ne pourront pas participer à l’édition 2022 pourront revendre leurs billets sur le groupe officiel de revente : ils y trouveront preneurs quelques semaines avant le festival.

Reporter le festival une 2e année consécutive représente un défi colossal ! Nous choisissons de relever ce défi. Nous mettrons tout en œuvre pour vous offrir à nouveau un espace magique de co-création, coloré par ces moments de pur bonheur partagés tous ensemble et nourri par ces liens précieux que nous tissons depuis toutes ces années.

With heavy hearts we announce the cancellation of Eclipse Festival 2021 and its postponement to July 21–25, 2022. Unfortunately, we must face the facts: The festival simply cannot take place given the current situation. Things are completely out of our control. All tickets purchased will be valid for Eclipse 2022.
Postponing the festival for 15 months allows us to ensure it can continue and go on. Cancelling the 2021 edition would affect the festival’s survival. We’ve decided to stay positive: We wholeheartedly believe that everything remains possible and that the 2022 edition will take place. Let’s all be resilient. Let’s all visualize better days!
We’re well aware that we’re asking for your full cooperation once again, as no refunds will be made this year. We invite those unable to attend the 2022 edition to sell their tickets through the official resale group, where they are sure to be snatched up a few weeks before the event.

Chers amis de la grande famille ÉCLIPSE,
Depuis 2003, nous avons créé ensemble des moments inoubliables. Grâce à vous, Éclipse est devenu un rassemblement incontournable de la musique électronique, voire un rituel indispensable. Collectivement, nous avons co-crée des moments magiques infusés de sourires et de plaisir. Ensemble, nous avons vibré au battement de la musique sous le soleil, la pluie et les étoiles.
Aujourd’hui, nous avons une importante nouvelle à vous communiquer. La situation actuelle nous demande plus que jamais de faire appel à notre sens de l’adaptation. La réflexion a été difficile et notre décision est empreinte de tristesse, mais c’est avec sagesse, cohérence et en respect des décisions gouvernementales que nous choisissons de reporter l’édition d’Éclipse 2020 à l’été 2021.
Tous les billets déjà achetés sont valides pour la prochaine édition d’Éclipse 2021 qui se tiendra officiellement du 22 au 26 juillet sur le magnifique site du Bonnet Rouge à Sainte-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau.
Notre décision de reporter le festival dans 15 mois nous permet d’en espérer la continuité, sachant que l’annulation de l’édition 2020 risquerait de toucher la survie même du festival. Entre autres parce que nous avions déjà franchi des étapes importantes dans le processus de l’édition 2020 et avons encourus des dépenses importantes.
Tous les détenteurs de billets qui ont fait leur achat en ligne seront contactés par courriel dans les plus brefs délais afin d’être informés des nouvelles modalités. Vous serez libres de conserver vos billets et d’appuyer fièrement le retour du festival à l’été 2021 ou encore de demander un remboursement pour vos billets.
Quant aux détenteurs de billets achetés en magasin (chez Psychonaut et Chanvre du Nord), des renseignements précis vous seront communiqués au début du mois de mai. Si vous choisissez d’être remboursés, cela sera possible uniquement lorsque ces deux boutiques rouvriront leurs portes.
Nous avons besoin de votre patience et de votre collaboration. Le report du festival représente un défi colossal. Plus que jamais, nous avons besoin de votre appui.
De tout cœur, nous souhaitons que le nombre de remboursements soit minime afin que nous puissions demeurer en bonne position pour vous offrir une édition 2021 qui sera exceptionnelle : Illumination.
Éclipse Illumination 2021 sera le fruit de notre travail, un rassemblement musical et humain, une célébration de grande envergure. Nous traversons ensemble un moment unique, qui changera l’histoire de l’humanité. Le contexte actuel nous motive d’autant plus à construire une édition 2021 qui sera inoubliable.
Nous ferons tout en notre possible pour demeurer fidèles à la programmation musicale déjà présentée pour l’édition 2020. Des mises à jour sur l’évolution de la prochaine édition vous seront communiquées tout au long de l’été. C’est donc un rendez-vous à ne pas manquer, du 22 au 26 juillet 2021.

Since 2003, we have created unforgettable moments together. Thanks to you, Eclipse has become an unforgettable gathering in the electronic-music scene, and even an indispensable ritual for some. Together, we have co-created magical moments infused with shared smiles and fun. Together, we have vibrated to music’s beats under the sun, rain and stars.
We have important news for you today. The current situation requires us all to adapt. Our reflection was difficult and our decision is tinged with sadness, but with wisdom, coherence and in respect to governmental decisions, we are choosing to postpone the 2020 edition of Eclipse Festival until summer 2021.
All tickets that have been purchased will be valid for Eclipse 2021, which will be held July 22–26, 2021, at the magnificent Bonnet Rouge site in Sainte-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau.
Our decision to postpone the festival in 15 months allows us to hope it can go on, whereas simply cancelling the 2020 edition would put the festival’s survival in jeopardy. Among other things, this is due to the fact that we had already reached significant milestones in the next edition’s process and incurred significant expenses.
Ticket holders who made their purchase online will be contacted via email as soon as possible, and be informed of the new terms and conditions. You will be free to keep your tickets and proudly support the festival’s return in 2021, or to ask for a refund for your tickets.
Ticket holders who made their purchase in stores (Psychonaut or Chanvre du Nord): specific information will be provided in early May. If you opt for a refund, this will only be possible when the two stores open again.
We ask for and need your patience and collaboration. Postponing the festival is an immense challenge. We need your support now more than ever.
With all our hearts, we hope that the refund requests will be few and far between, so we can remain in good standing to offer you an exceptional edition for 2021: Illumination.
Eclipse Illumination 2021 will be the fruit of our labour, a musical and human communion, a large-scale celebration. We are going through unique times that will change humanity’s history. The current context is just one more motivation to build an unforgettable 2021 edition.
We will make every effort to preserve the musical programming already announced for 2020. Updates on the next edition will be shared with you throughout the summer. Mark the dates: you don’t want to miss this one, July 22–26, 2021.
Until then, take care of yourself, of your families and loved ones. Nothing matters more right now. You’re in our thoughts during these difficult times. We’re truly looking forward to seeing you again in the Gatineau Valley to co-create together this new edition.
